WHAT MAKES THEM BETTER?

All of our bearings, whether they be steel, ceramic, needle or tapers gets our version of "smooth and slippery", which is the combination of superfinished races that are coated with MicroBlue® - the coating that changes the way lubricants work.

Why superfinishing? Simply because the "peaks and valleys" that are the result of conventional machining processes are the real, everyday source of friction in lubricated environments. When these surfaces are pushed together under load, the lubricant takes a very turbulent path on it's way out. And heat is the result. When those machined surfaces are made glass-smooth, the lubricant has a straight shot, and that lack of turbulence dramatically reduces heat build-up, resulting in a big reduction in sliding friction properties.

If you're wondering how those surfaces can stay lubricated, that's where the MicroBlue coating comes in. MicroBlue has a unique, atomic interaction with lubricants which other coatings have (they only work when things touch). Just as soft water makes you feel slippery (by reducing the surface tension of soap),the MicroBlue coating does the same thing. And we all know, whenever you improve the wetting properties of a lubricant, you make it far more "slippery".

When we combine those glass-smooth surfaces with something that makes lubricants much more slippery, things get interesting in a hurry.. Truly, the result is the freest rolling, coolest running and longest lasting bearings bearings ever made. A bold statement, we know, but trust us, you will understand that the first time you pick one up and give it a spin.

You'll find no imports, no steel balls coated in some sort of who knows what. These bearings are the real thing. That's why we're proud to say that in eight years, we've never had a material failure. And nobody has ever told us they wore them out. To us, superior quality is a responsibility we take very seriously. Not only are failures costly , but people can get hurt in the process.
