WHAT ARE THEY ?
Our MicroBlue® high performance, low friction bearings are an example of what happens when we get to "tinker'in" with things! Our new line of bearings are essentially re-manufactured bearings that are improved in a number of ways.
Naturally, every bearing we offer is 100% coated with MicroBlue® on the contact surfaces, but you have more options as well. REM ® superfinishing is a natural compliment to MicroBlue®, and bearings are no exception. We have been coating bearings for years, but we have always known that if we can polish the contact surfaces before MicroBlue® coating, the performance bar is raised considerably, especially with tapered types.
So what did we do? We have developed a system that allows us to polish any assembled bearing, regardless of type. Imagine having polished surfaces on 100% of the bearing without taking them apart! What does this mean to you? It brings another level of bearing performance that is more affordable when compared to our hand-assembled steel & ceramic line, and the performance improvement is considerable when compared to bearings with typical ground finishes.
There's no question about how high-quality Saint-Gobain ceramic balls reduce bearing friction, but when superfinishing and MicroBlue® are added to the equation, the result is nothing short of amazing. Racers are always looking for ways to step it up, but the racing community has never had such a choice in bearing selection and performance.
At MicroBlue® racing, we think that a hand-made, custom-fit ceramic, that is superfinished and coated with MicroBlue® certainly qualifies as the finest and best performing bearing ever made. Just ask one of our customers, that's if they'll tell you!
WHERE DID THEY COME FROM?
It has always been a challenge to show how vastly different MicroBlue® is from conventional coatings, particularly when it comes to coating thickness. Looking for something that quickly demonstrated “slippery & thin”, we started coating ball bearings several years ago. Before long, we began to notice that one nobody ever threw them away, and they loved them!
We used to give them out during engineering sessions, and they would just sit there, spinning them on their index finger, non-stop. When racers started sending us bearings to coat, we soon realized that the only logical thing to do was to have them on hand and spare you the aggravation of being in the shipping business! Knowing that we cannot have everything on hand at all times, we have relied on your feedback to help guide us. So, if you do not see something you need in our online store, call or e-mail and let us know, please! Go kart's, midgets
