Below, we have listed most, but not all of the parts that need to be processed. Due to the wide variety of part types and assemblies, it is simply not possible to list every coatable part here. Not sure about a part to send? Don't worry,
include it with your shipment. We'll always talk about it and make a plan, before we do anything.

Engines: 2-Stroke

Due to their simplicity, we usually tell people to “keep the cases and send us everything else”. In particular, the very best time for us to work on your motor is before the crankshaft is assembled. The crank halves are highly polished (oil shedding & windage) and the seal contact areas are coated. The crank pin will be polished and coated where the connecting rod makes contact only (the press diameters are masked off). The rod and wrist pin(s) are super-finished and the end diameters are coated. The piston(s) and rings (top & bottom) are coated with special attention to the ring grooves (leak-down & compression). Prices range from $200-$400 for small single cylinder motors to $300-$600 for multi-cylinder race motors, depending on the amount of "special" attention is asked for. Please refer to the list on this page for a complete listing.

Engines: 4-Stroke

In addition to the components listed above, we add the valve train parts. These typically include cams, cam bearings, valves, rocker arms & shafts, adjusting screws and push rods. We are able to process solid lifters, provided they are disassembled. Unless disassembled, we cannot process roller lifters. In addition to the above, please include the oil/vacuum pump parts. Please refer to the list on this page for a complete listing. Note: We offer cryogenic processing and ISF super- finishing for valve springs on request. Prices range from $200-$400 for small single cylinder motors to $300.00-$600.00 for multi-cylinder motorcycle motors (includes all transmission parts) and $400-$800 for automotive V-8's, again, depending on the amount of "special" attention is asked for.

Drivetrain Components

We have worked on virtually all transmission, rear-end and differential types. High-end, low-end, we've seen them all, both manual and automatic. It is this area where we are asked to provide a little something "extra" to try to strengthen breaking parts, like 1000 hp Evo front differential assemblies. Those diff gears and shafts are a real weak point! For those who are having problems, send us a failed part and let us cut it up in the lab first. It's important to know what's going on "inside" before we start prescribing "remedies". We have a lot of data collected all these years, so we know a little bit about how Richmond and Xtrac goes about doing their heat treating! Again, it is best to process as many parts as possible. Don’t forget shift assemblies, the improved smoothness will be dramatic. Please remove all bearings from the shafts and pack carefully. If there are any special instructions, please include them with your order. For anything else, please call. Typical costs range from $200-$600 for rear-end/diff assemblies, and $300-$800 for manual & automatic transmissions, depending on the amount of "special" attention is asked for. Call for details.
