We've noticed that when a customer calls to order bearings, they always ask "how does it work?, "how long will it last?" and "will it come off?" So we'd like to address those questions here.

"How does MicroBlue work?"
The majority of friction and heat in drivetrain comes from the effort needed to push the oil out of the way of the balls, rollers and gear teeth. As the load force increases, the amount of this resistance goes up considerably. MicroBlue® reduces this effort because it changes the way lubricants work, by reducing the surface tension (improving the wetting properties) of the oil. Just like soft water. You know how slippery you feel in the shower with soft water? Soft water changes the way soap wets your skin, making you feel slippery. Think of it as something that reduces the thickness of the oil at the point of load. The thinner it is, the less force needed to get it out of the way. In the case of crank and cam bearings, as well as the journal bearings in a turbo. It greatly reduces the amount of energy required to start and maintain rotation. This literally happens because of physics and chemistry. The sulphur atoms in the coating are the key. They're the guys that make it all happen. Because of this, it has to work, because of physics and chemistry.

"How long will it last and will it come off?"
Worthwhile question. The answer is rooted in the way MicroBlue bonds to the surface. Common coatings (like Moly), bond to the surface via "adhesion" (like paint). MicroBlue is an "atomic" bond. It's complicated, not the point here, but an atomic bond simply cannot chip, flake or peel. Can't happen. It can be "abraded" away which requires either metal to metal contact or the presence of anything abrasive. Of course, if you have either of these problems, you've got far more serious problems going on.

The last thing you need to know is why parts don't wear after we're done with them. Here's how that works: GO

WHEEL BEARING MILEAGE UPDATES

We've now shipped over 150 bearing kits to customers throughout the US and Canada. On 3 axle tractors, nobody has given us any other number than 4/10ths. improvement. Sounds crazy, but it's true. We're starting to get trailer info in, but the picture hasn't been as consistent. The problem with that has been all about the install. Specifically the nonexistent procedures that are used in the industry. Which boils down to individual installers "opinion" on how to do it. That's another topic which we're addressing. But it looks like 3/10ths so far with some saying more than that. We've seen a sharp increase in trailer orders recently, so a much clearer picture isn't too far away. Stay tuned.

TRACTOR DRIVETRAIN SERVICES - **NEW**

We now have MicroBlue® tractor transmission and differentia services available for all the popular makes in use today. And the program is simple. Suppose you're planning on a diff or trans change in 2 weeks. We will build a unit from the ground up ahead of time and arrange to have it delivered to your installer prior to the swap. When the job is done, you simply put the old unit in the shipping container and return it to us. Although this is the typical re-man plan, our plan is different, here's why:

1) Unlike some, we change every perishable part. No exceptions. You never have to wonder if you're paying for used parts.
2) We only use sealed, factory OEM re-build kits. No imports.
3) We handle the critical pre-load settings (it's our way of making sure you don't get "more" than you need).

If this is something you're interested in, just give us a call and we can go over the prices and details. 704-489-2216
